My blogging brain continues to rebel.  I’m hoping to sort it out when I’m on holiday at the start of September.

But thankfully, Elizabeth keeps coming up with fabulous questions worth turning into blog posts of their own.  Today’s offering is:

Does transformation always require death?

  1. September holiday sounds excellent, I hope it is refreshing! and not too much blogging either (although of course we’d welcome it).

    Questions, I have plenty. Answers, fewer.

  2. It is a very good question. I’m not sure I have a general answer. IN biology generally, I think it does – the more successful of the ‘transformations’ survives and the less dies. But biology is not spirituality. Perhaps what we need is a few concrete instances.

  3. I think it is a question of defining death… In my opinion, one certainly doesnt need to die to be transformed – changes in circumstance or plain life experiences can do that. But if (as I picture it) transformation means changing from one thing to another, the old must make way (or die?) for the new…
