Liturgy

At Holy Trinity, Dunoon we use one of two liturgies for the eucharist:
- The 1982 liturgy (blue book) — modern language
- The 1970 liturgy (gray book) — traditional language
The liturgies alternate weekly, though we usually use the 1982 liturgy for feast days.
At St Paul’s, Rothesay we use:
- The 1982 Liturgy at our fortnightly celebration of the eucharist.
- The 1929 Scottish Prayer Book for lay-led Mattins in alternate weeks.
At other times we also use:
- The 1997 Baptismal Liturgy
- The 2003 Marriage Liturgy
- The 1987 Funeral Liturgy
- Night Prayer from The Church of England (Sung Compline)
- seasonal liturgies for Advent, Lent, Holy Week, Easter & Pentecost
Daily Prayer
Christian life finds its pattern around the rhythms of regular communion and daily prayer. The links below will take you to the Church of England’s daily office to make it easier for you to join in the prayers of the church.
